The Parent’s Day Out Program at The Owl’s Nest offers children a comfortable environment, where they can feel safe, loved, and cared for while engaging with peers, learning and having fun! This program is different than a typical daycare program due to its shortened hours and more laid-back atmosphere.

Our nest will be open to all of our Little Owlets from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm Monday through Friday.

The tuition rate is $50 per day. Tuition can be paid monthly or bi-weekly prior to care offered. Additional fees include a $60 nonrefundable enrollment fee and a $40 supply fee.

The Parent’s Day Out Program at The Owl’s Nest follows the Shawnee Mission School District calendar. The program begins on August 21st 2023 and ends on May 29th 2023. When Shawnee Mission is not in session due to breaks, conferences, in-services, etc. Parent’s Day Out is closed.

Parents are able to provide two preferences to the number of days they would like their child to attend (1,2,3,4, or 5) as well as which days they prefer (Monday-Friday). We do our best to accommodate the requested days but cannot make any guarantees. Enrollment is based upon a first come first serve basis with priority given to our current families and Little Owly’s Alum.

Care is offered to children ages 12 months and walking to 4 years of age. Children are assigned to classrooms according to their age and remain in that classroom for the school year. One classroom consists of children ages 12 months and walking to 2 ½ and the other classroom consists of 20 children ages 2 ½ through 4. Children must be 12 months to enroll.
